      Pros

      -Flexibiltiy to respond to student needs without the bureaucracy of a traditional public school system -I feel genuinely valued, developed and heard at Muchin College Prep -I love the colleagues I work with. They all want to be and do their best to help our young people get the best possible college option for their futures

      Cons

      Honeslty, I can't think of a lot of cons. A lot of people will speak to how you can make more money at a traditional Chicago Public Schools. That being said, traditional public schools don't have a lot of resources that we do: 1) 2 full time social workers on our campus (traditional CPS has a traveling social worker) 2) 4 full time college counselors for our seniors (traditional CPS has 1 counselor for the entire school) 3) a Culture Team of 15 people that works to ensure safe and secure schools when traditional CPS schools have a couple security and one Dean 4) TONS of instructional development with no limitations with which that development can occur (which does happen in a unionized school).

      very toxic work environment, especially at the admin level.
