Pros

1. Good foundational exposure to help desk, network management, cyber security, project planning etc 2. Noble will help cover certifications (needed for anyone in IT) 3. The Noble IT team is great and always willing to provide support/guidance. Very knowledgeable group. 4. Zero micromanaging - You get to plan out your days how you like

Cons

1. Working with school admin/staff. They're sometimes rude, inconsiderate and/or condescending 2. After hours work for projects on campus required 3. Not a long term place to be working in. Very poor raises and bonuses. Get your 1-3 years of experience and then look elsewhere.

Pros

I’ve experienced a strong and supportive team culture at Noble. There’s a clear “If I don’t know it, I will figure it out” mindset that encourages growth and collaboration. Above all, the work we do for students remains the top priority, and that focus is felt every day. As a new employee I have felt welcomed and supported, my talents are respected and well utilized. I am also allowed to freedom to express myself in the classroom.

Cons

The adjustments I’ve had to make are typical for anyone starting a new position. Coming from a smaller setting, transitioning to a much larger staff was a significant shift. Learning new systems, structures, and supports was challenging at first, as was adapting to a new school culture. However, these adjustments felt manageable with time, guidance, and the supportive environment around me.

Pros

The students are incredible — they’re funny, resilient, and full of personality. Building relationships with them is the most rewarding part of the job. The mission feels real — you truly feel like you’re helping students work toward college and real opportunities. Strong teamwork — most of the staff are passionate, collaborative, and willing to support each other. Professional growth — there are clear expectations and a lot of coaching, so you get better fast. Competitive pay and benefits — compensation is better than many schools in the area.

Cons

Work-life balance is tough — long hours, heavy workload, and constant urgency can lead to burnout. High expectations with little downtime — days move fast, and support staff and teachers alike feel stretched thin. Discipline culture can feel strict — systems are rigid, and not every student responds well to the structure. Change happens constantly — policies and priorities can shift quickly, making it hard to keep up. Pressure around metrics — test scores, behavior numbers, and pacing can sometimes feel more important than creativity or relationships.
