Pros

- Nordstrom consistently offered great career growth. Thanks to regular internal promotions and a culture that rewards ambition. Being open to relocation made it possible for me to advance quickly and take on new challenges throughout the company. They also promote an inclusive, collaborative work environment and value employee input, helping to foster a family-like atmosphere. - As an HR professional I was empowered, recognized and appreciated for my expertise and contributions leading to a sense of belonging. - They invest in your training and development, and they support work/life balance which is evident in their generous time off policies, such as PTO and bereavement. I'm going to round this out by mentioning their emphasis on strong values for Diversity and Inclusion and their involvement in the community in which they reside.

Cons

Working in retail isn't always easy. Customers prefer to shop online, which diminishes the opportunity for employees to earn a lot of commission.
