Pros

It's a great company to work for especially if you're a good sales person. The pay was great for only being a summer intern. It's basically up to you how much you make being that it's commission based on top of hourly.

Cons

If you're not a good seller, you won't get the hours you desire. The discount is okay 25%. Very competitive.

Pros

Good benefits, friendly and loyal customers, great co-workers, employee discounts even when items are on sale and at Nordstrom Rack locations.

Cons

Pay can be low if you do not make commision during a pay period. If you don't sell enough you could get fired.

Pros

I really liked working at Nordstrom because it is a crash course to how to run a business. In order for you to succeed, you need to do a lot. Because it is based on commission, you need to be active and ready to sell everyday.

Cons

You have to work a certain number of hours in order to receive benefits. And a crash in the economy does not merit lack of performance passes.
