Pros

Great pay and incentives, room for advancement and promotions are from within. Benefits include medical dental 401 profit sharing stock purchase.

Cons

No set schedules, sitting at your desk for long periods, on phone for all of your shift, can't schedule vacations in November or December.

Pros

Best money I've made without bartending! Opportunity for growth but honestly depends on your stores upper management. Working in cosmetics is great and the money is a little more consistent than the apparel departments but with a lower commission.

Cons

Not a lot of advancement opportunities unless you are willing to relocate. Honestly boils down to your store manager. I love what I do but would like to move up within my store instead of move.

Pros

You make your own paychecks and you get paid well. Great fashion sense. Great room for advancement!

Cons

People are way to competitive which makes teamwork not even a word in anyones mouth. People that work there are stuck up and sometimes rude if you ask them to help you out. Its hard to start as a newbie with all the competitive people. They disrespect you. Nordstrom is not bad just the sales people that work there. They are good at being fake.
