Pros

Working for Nordstrom has been very interesting. The people are great. It is like a big family who care for each other.

Cons

There isn't a lot of growth opportunities outside of the stores. If you want to stay in a retail store, then go for it, but if you want to get into the corporate side of the business, you'll have to work even harder because those positions are disappearing.

Pros

Good benefits, decent discount, reasonable work schedules,

Cons

Lazy, disrespectful, catty managers who show obvious favoritism toward certain employees. No return policy, which means Nordstrom will accept all returns no matter how long ago the merchandise was purchased or what condition it is in. Unless the merchandise was purchased exactly 365 days prior, it comes out of your paycheck! Unreasonable sales goals.
