Good benefits, pleasant working environment. I enjoy my work, and like the fact that I am contributing to the health of my community, by working at a hospital.

Cons

It can be difficult to find advancement opportunities if you are not a clinician. Management does not seem interested in actively helping current employees improve their skills, or help evaluate their current abilities as they could contribute further to the organization.

Pros

Lots of positions, locations, and opportunities to move up in the hospital. Great medical benefits, 401k, PDOs for full/part time employees, even an education reimbursement program. Great cafeteria which discounts for employees. The hospital has a great servant culture, striving for optimum patient satisfaction. Top Cardiology teams, and very friendly doctors.

Cons

Some times departments are so short staffed, they will as you to take on more work. That's fine, but they do not compensate for the extra work done. I do my job, plus half an administrator's work and fill in for another position when said person is gone. When asked for a raise to compensate for all the extra work, I was denied.
