I had a great sales leader who would have been a great mentor had I wanted to pursue the sales track.

Cons

The hierarchy did not lend much concern to the advancement of the entry-level folks. They didn't seem to concerned with cultivating talent.

Pros

I work in a research group with great people. I have as much freedom and as much support as I like. The salary is competitive and I was able to get additional funding for moving abroad to do research. I have not spent much time in Boston, but that is also a clear plus.

Cons

I cannot really think of any cons. I work with great people, I have a lot of freedom, I have support, and the pay is competitive; what can I say? There is a bit of bureaucracy, but not any more than the same job at other places.
