Pros

The benefits are very good and are generally what attract people towards working in higher education. Depending on where in the university you work, there may be other benefits.

Cons

There is a lack of professional growth opportunities, and the university doesn't really invest in its employees. We are undervalued for our education and experiences, which is interesting considering the university prides itself in producing employable students with their degrees. NEU would be very unhappy if their students ended up in jobs with salaries similar to what it offers its employees.
