Pros

Stable company that is actually gaining clients, unlike other banks which layed off numerous times over the most recent recession.

Cons

Slow moving company. Old school management types. If you don't network on your own you are limited in terms of real growth opportunities.

Pros

Ok for an entry level job. You will get a broad view of back office investment management.

Cons

Management does not support individuals moving internally. Top performers are promoted to keep them in their current department so that they can not move internally. Unprofessional work environment.

Pros

Good location located in the heart of the Loop. Very high net worth clients.

Cons

Lots of nepotism. If you don't have money at the bank or have some sort of family power, good luck getting a full time position through your internship. Also NTRS is quite cheap in the way they pay salaries.
