      Benefits are good (health, 401K, pension, etc)

      Cons

      Cons for specific department (Investment Operations Outsourcing, IOO) - Low pay -> employees are underpaid. Raises and bonuses are a joke. - Awful management -> managers don't know how to be good managers - Culture -> absolute zero company culture demonstrated in this dept. There are a lot better roles within this company just make sure you don't work in this department.

      None this place is a high school

      Northern Trust is ran like a Plantation Highschool. There is no real growth within this company. They will hold you back with out giving adequate training. Then you get blamed at the end. Not everyone In the company is bad but at the end of the day it’s them or you. It’s who knows who company.

      Pros

      Entry level jobs give you exposure to daily valuations, basic accounting skills, and time working with accounting systems crucial to evaluations. Plenty of vacation days you can take throughout the year.

      Cons

      The 1st 3 business days of EVERY month can't be taken off. Some supervisors are verbally abusive and aggressive. There is little to no care or interest in employees' family life. They easily are the worst-paying accounting firm in the city of Chicago. Employees who pick up the slack of other workers are never rewarded for their extra effort.
