Thanks for your feedback. We'll keep trying to scale more smoothly (in terms of roadmap and general growing pains) as we reach cruising altitude on the race to win our SaaS vertical. ;) Thanks for the hard work and continuing to move FAST on the engineering/product side.

Pros

Fair compensation, room for individual growth. It's a young and energetic work environment.

Cons

While I do agree there are learning opportunities here and this is a fast growing company, I'm a bit suspicious about all the positive reviews. Personally I have heard more complaints than praises during my time at Northspyre. The management puts up a facade of "open communication" but the flow of information is very often one-sided. There's a lot of micro-management going on in the name of "growth." And the turn-over rate here is alarming at the very least. I know there were a handful of people who left in less than 3 months and I think that in itself should tell you something.

I'm sorry you didn't have a great impression during your time here. Obviously having a team of diverse personalities and backgrounds means not everyone will always perceive things the same way-- so while some team members love it at Northspyre and others think it's just a solid place to work, I'm not surprised occasionally there could be some with a different more negative viewpoint. I'm not sure how long your tenure was or what your role was, so I'll try to address the cons listed broadly as possible. At Northspyre one of our tenets is openness and transparency. I'll venture a guess that perhaps Northspyre was your very first job out of college (?), but I think relative to pretty much any other company Northspyre is about as transparent as a company can be from our public slack channels communication policies (and discouraging DMs) to the level of information access team members are provided. Everyone on the go-to-market team has direct access via our CRM to all the same reports and data used by the senior leadership to management the company (they are public and visible to everyone)-- sales data, customer success data, win rates, growth targets, etc. On the product/engineering side, everything from work tickets even to planning is shared in our product management tool broadly with everyone on the product/engineering team. There is complete visibility into what will happen, what is happening now, and what has already happened. Additionally we are a relatively flat organization where feedback and questions can be asked from entry level team members directly to the CEO on a daily basis. And if you ask a tough question, I'll definitely answer! It's part of our openness mentality along with our roll-up-your-sleeves approach. Definitely open to more feedback if you think anything is missing or there was information lacking. Not sure what more we could share openly that is not personal employee data. Let me know. Shoot me an email with more details (william@northspyre.com) and I'll definitely respond and it might make us even better. Regarding turnover rate at Northspyre, I actually think we do great relative to other startups and early stage companies. In the name of transparency-- you asked for it :) -- here's some key facts: - We are a team of roughly 25 people in the US today. - Our product engineering team has 7 team members today, we have not had a member leave that team in more than 2 years. Fingers crossed we can keep the streak going. - For our customer success team (which is probably the toughest experience striving to delight customers), we have not had a team member departure in all of 2021 (it's August as of this response). Hope that continues! - For our sales team (the largest team at Northspyre), the 3 senior most leaders have been with the company since starting (32 months ago, 24 months ago, and 10 months ago) with no departures of AEs/leaders on sales in a year. Where we can make improvement is with entry level sales roles which is the highest turnover role at Northspyre. For this role we hire recent college grads. Roughly 20% quit within the first month -- cold calling isn't fun and sometimes there is a lack of understanding about what sales entails coming out of college. Outside of those that quit entry level sales roles in their first weeks on the job, Northspyre is probably no different from any other sales organization where there is tremendous pressure to carry a quota and hit targets. In a fast growing start up growth is critical and being at the front lines of leading this growth is not for everyone. If you have the discipline to execute, emotional intelligence to listen and understand customer problems, and willingness to grow and implement feedback quickly you can make a LOT of money in sales. We're always re-evaluating how we can increase the success rate of entry level sales hires. If you have more specific feedback, feel free to reach out directly. Open ears and good luck in your future endeavors. You'll find somewhere that's the right fit even if that wasn't Northspyre. Thanks for taking a chance on us and thanks for the feedback.
