Pros

Some coworkers are ok, but there are far more cons to working for this company than pros. Seriously run.

Cons

Any positive review you see in here is most likely coming from someone in a management position, or told to produce. This company knows its reputation and has tried to find a way to bury Glassdoor searches and reviews, cause they know. Mention the company name to their union, and you will be met with heavy sighs, and go, we know. They will massively overwork work you, and then tell you, you are not doing enough work. There is massive complaints against people and treatment, but they will not address it at all. In fact, will openly promote employees that have these complaints towards other employees. They will also share your personal information with other employees. If you try to report anyone that has a salaried position, good luck, you will never hear anything further, and you will be retaliated against. There is massive issues with training and lack of it, and not a single person is on the same page. (They will act like they don’t know what you are talking about if you bring it up to them too) The phone bank they have, is a joke, and I have at least 1 call day from someone complaining about the treatment they received calling them. I know several emails get sent a day, and management is very aware of the problems, but refuses to fix it, and again promotes employees that have massive complaints. They will also blame their processor staff for the things the phone bank does incorrectly. this company is so out of touch, and believes every employee should act like a robot. They have no empathy and will change they standards on a monthly basis if they are trying to go after an employee. Someone in your family passes and you have to take two weeks off (also good luck with that, they only allow you 1 day paid leave), they will still tell you at the end of the month you failed to meet production and write you up. You are required to maintain the same production, no matter circumstances, yet claim they take in hours worked, and adjust your production based on that. But it never happens. Even if you only work 2 weeks, you will be told to produce the same as someone who worked the full month. They know there is an internal issues, but again won’t address it. They will also send out your personal production report to EVERYONE in the department. Bottom line, this company will find every loop hole they can, to try and come after in just the right way that you can’t prove their abuse. Ask anyone why they work there, and their answer will be only “cause of the pay.” Nothing more. It’s only the pay that keeps people here. Their systems are extremely out dated, and more than once a month, every month, you will be completely unable to work, cause the system will be down. It’s the running joke if they go work on the computers over the weekend, we won’t have access come Monday. Not to mention we are using a system that only works on Ie, which has now been complete discontinued, and we are being told it will be about another year before we get a version that will work with edge. Also, for a pension company, your contributions are a joke. There has been no increase in YEARS. (And it will never change, cause they will only give more to the pension, if you take pay cuts/not have cost of living increases). You’re a billion dollar company and you run it like a company with no money.

It is unfortunate that you have not received better information about the practices at NWA, as much of what you have said is inaccurate. Please reach out to Human Resources and we will go over your collective bargaining agreement benefits—including bereavement leave, wage increases and pension contributions. Getting clarity on these items, including the bargaining process, should be helpful and hopefully create more security in how you feel about your role at NWA and the company as a whole. Retaliation is not tolerated at NWA. We want to understand your concerns and help you to address them.

At NWA, we pride ourselves on offering career paths and promotional opportunities for our associates. In fact, much of the leadership in your department started as Pension Processors. We encourage you to talk with your supervisor or anyone on the recruitment team about your professional goals. Thank you for sharing your experience with us and please know that your feedback has been shared with leadership.
