Be careful in choosing the office you plan to work at

Pros

Great opportunity if you find an office that has great leaders to follow.

Cons

I did my research and found that the company has a remarkable track record. What I didnt find is that the office in my state didnt have great leaders. I was put under a so called "leader" that pretended to like me, but in true reality, he didnt care about me at all. He just did the bare minimum in helping to show he "was"actually helping me. But when I stepped beyond the call he was given and asked for his help, time and time again he came down on me with a condescending manner that brought me down even more.

Pros

Great training and office support. Many senior reps go out of their way to help the younger ones succeed. There is a lot of character in the office, everybody works very hard to be successful, but they play hard too when the job is done.

Cons

Insurance may be the hardest thing to sell. You need to be very confident in yourself and know your products inside and out. Also very hard to start calling friends and family and get them to buy products from you.

Pros

Sense of work-life balance and other on-site benefits such as a health care center. The defined benefit plan is also wonderful.

Cons

Slow moving company and adverse to change, but the new CEO seems to be picking up the pace in certain aspects, which is good.
