You work with amazing people--fellow faculty, administrators, and students alike. Faculty positions can create a work/life balance that aligns with their situation.

Cons

As in many workplaces, lack of communication between areas can create issues. Also, as a state-funded institution, available funding always seems to be in question. Cost of living raises are rare.
