      Pros

      This is a great place for teachers to work. Working with gifted students is a treat after a long week of teaching, and the faculty and staff is extremely supportive. They are also very open to running new classes designed by the teachers, so there is a lot of autonomy and creative opportunities if sought out.

      Cons

      The pay is not great compared to other part-time teaching positions, but the experience makes it worth the effort. It is also difficult to work on Saturdays if you coach a sport for your full-time teaching job.

      Northwestern is a fantastic univeristy-- the administration and facilities are both wonderful Living in Evanston is great-- close to the city of Chicago, yet you have the peacefulness of a college town

      Cons

      Compensation is not as attractive as industry Mobility is only so so The students are not top notch Campus events are few and far between

      Pros

      Great mentoring combined with good facilities makes the graduate experience enjoyable and rewarding. There is also great access to the world's leaders in a number of fields.

      Cons

      The bureaucracy can be overwhelming at times. There is a definite power structure that people fight to keep intact regardless of how little sense it makes.
