Pros
- Flexible, friendly environment - Decent pay & benefits - No corners cut when it comes to space, equipment and infrastructure - Knowledgeable, intelligent team members - Heavy use of automation, documentation and procedures - Positive employee moral and pride in their occupation - No "clocking-in-clocking-out". Time is kept track of in relation to tasks. e.g. in an 8 hour day, a person may do 4 tasks each taking about 2 hours. Clients are usually billed for the tasks related specifically to them, which consequently keeps the workload very manageable. - Ample time and resources are requested for every task. Rarely, if ever, anything is rushed or mickey-moused.
Cons
- Minor lack of supervision and training, but only relative to the scope, complexity, features and capabilities of the software. Then again, ample "ramp-up" time is provided, so it is not really an issue.
