Pros
-excellent schedule for work/life balance -good pay for the workload -workload is manageable and never follows you home -the control room has never been effected by layoffs in the years I've been here -good company culture at the core, although there's a lot of bitterness in the air since they just did layoffs.
Cons
the Control Room is severely undermanned. job description says you should do nights 2-3 times a year, I've already done 4 cycles of nights with another coming for the holidays. -Shift Differential is an insulting 3% (about 15 whole dollars for a 12 hour shift) -New CEO for Summer of '24 did a huge wave of layoffs. lots of people are very bitter over it. Control room had a hiring freeze that lasted several months, several operators and the director left for a variety of reasons, and they still haven't hired replacements yet.
