Pros
Novacoast offers fluid and adaptive work environment. I’ve had the opportunity to explore different roles based on availability and interest, which has really accelerated my professional growth. The culture is deeply rooted in collaboration—people are genuinely passionate about knowledge sharing and always willing to help when issues arise.
Management, particularly in the SOC, has made noticeable improvements over the past four years. Operations have become more efficient and streamlined, making daily work much smoother. I truly appreciate how communicative and supportive the managers, especially from the Wichita and Michigan offices are—they regularly share new opportunities, offer constructive feedback, and genuinely advocate for the team. If you needed some time off for personal reasons, management is also very understanding about that and would try to accommodate you as best as they can. Upper management is also approachable and occasionally takes time to connect directly with the SOC team, which adds a personal touch.
Training has improved significantly, too. The internal tools are more organized, and the trainers are very approachable and dedicated to helping employees succeed—as long as you're proactive in engaging with them.
One of the best parts is that consistent performance doesn’t go unnoticed. Hard work is recognized, which makes for a very motivating and rewarding environment.
Cons
The medical insurance options could use improvement—the cost for decent coverage is quite high and can amount to nearly a month’s rent for a single individual. Additionally, adjusting to the night shift can be challenging at first. However, the flexibility during those hours is a plus—you often have time to study for certifications or catch up on schoolwork.
