      Pros

      Good patient care, mostly due to the people not the company. Good with employee education/inservice. non-profit company.

      Cons

      Too much focus on customer satisfaction, sometimes to the detriment of patient care. Did not show respect for employees, treated like a number, dispensable, loyalty meant nothing. Made too many changes without consulting the opinion of those the changes would effect the most.

      Flexibility with work hours, Salary, training, 401k w/6% match, PTO hours.

      Cons

      Organization is lacking leadership at the field level. Poor company car (No choices.) Managers are overworked and cannot pay attention to the Field organization.

      Great working staff, inconsistent and back biting management

      Pros

      My 13+ years of experience with Novant Health has been largely in the ambulatory and corporate environments. The company has no shortage of clinical and clerical staff that come to their jobs each day for the right reasons. I can't think of one peer that doesn't want to take care of the patients and do his/her job well.

      Cons

      Unfortunately, a seemingly endless stream of micro-managing, untrusting and passive aggressive leaders continues to keep Novant Health from really reaching its' potential as a leader in the healthcare industry. We often lack the tools and information needed to work at our best, and I have personally lost count of the times I have been "coached" by supervisors for what has amounted to senseless gossip and back-biting among peers. Rather than focus on who said what to whom, I wish our leaders would pay attention to the working contributions of their staff. When the leaders get in the middle of sand-box battles, they seem unreliable, untrustworthy, and immature.
