Hired from out of state for a full time position. Upon arrival, I find out I am "part-time." Change requested. Change denied and not discussed. This place is set back in the days of old. Don't ask, don't tell and because I told you so, that's why. Does not encourage free thinking or thinking for yourself. Novant is super heavy on upper management and claims to be transparent. Not the case. Whatever the case, it is swept under the rug and not talked about. Like the days of slavery. Met a fellow nurse who came here for a day shift position. Upon arrival, was given night shift and told to do what was best for the department.

Unsupportive management. Arrogant managers have too much power over employees. Management don't appreciate employees. They say that excellent nursing care is their main priorty, but it isn't. Not anymore.
