      Ambitious company, but not sure if leadership or mission match with ambition

      Pros

      Excellent benefits package, one of the largest employers in the area, great co-workers and some departments have great managers

      Cons

      Not uncommon to observe cliques and nepotism, focus on health of community is low, management cares about themselves (for instance, bonuses for top leadership but not anyone else), leadership composition does not reflect the community

      Cut throat senior leadership

      Pros

      Benefits and pay comparable to similar organizations. Cafeteria food is very good and parking is good. Middle management used to be very cohesive and work hard to maintain their positions. Employees do care about their patients.

      Cons

      Senior leadership at Novant change positions (upward) regularly and assign favorites to positions that they are not qualified for. A lot of bureaucracy and competitiveness. Many recent layoffs and a lot of turnover.

      Pros

      Higher pay than the "other guy." Benefits are on par with the rest. The cafeteria food is pretty good.

      Cons

      The attitude of administration towards patient care makes it feel like they want to turn a huge profit from a NPO.
