Pros

GSI has been a great place to work for many years. The technical challenges are very rewarding, and the quality of the engineers is top notch. GSI is generally a very laid back environment and management is understanding of the flexibility that is often needed in life. When times are good there is the potential to make more in bonus and profit sharing.

Cons

GSI is changing with new management. It is not the same place that it used to be. Hopefully it will be able to survive these tough economic times. In bad economic years occasional furloughs and forced time off = 5-10% salary cut. Benfits are being cut to improve the company's bottom line, and employees are not particularly happy about that.
