Pros

History of good benefits from the Alcan days. Big investments have been made in the future with automotive investments. Narcissist CEO and HR lead both fired over last few months.

Cons

Not always good leadership or technical decisions handicaps some of the equipment and processes, similarly bad decisions have handicapped the can business that makes the cash to pay for the automotive future. HR has seemed to believe if they just spin it right any negative can appear as a positive to the masses. HR system says you can apply for anything across the company but don't try it if you have not got your bosses approval first. And yes that will make you appear disloyal and may well be held against you.

Great Co Workers in the Regions Growth Oriented

Cons

Senior management in the Global HQs is completely disconnected from the Regions. Politics reign supreme and it's not what you do or what you know but rather who you know. Many decision makers not familiar with how the business operates or the true market dynamics. This leads to top down decisions that hurt employees and customers.

Good people, overall. Amazingly still have some solid performers.

Cons

Despite a tremendous market that is developing this company will find a way to underperform. Have financed large parts of their expansions by slashing benefit packages.
