Where can I start? Communication within management is severely lacking. Middle management has a serious problem with favoritism, and in all honesty it’s always towards men. At my store they specifically brought in a female PIC only to add diversity to the management team. Within my three years of working there I’ve noticed an ongoing trend. Men are favorited, they move up quicker, and receive all the praise. At orientation we are told to be ourselves, to have fun, to be genuine, however, if you don’t have that bubbly fake enthusiastic personality, you won’t get anywhere. Honestly the whole “positive” mindset is so toxic and damaging to your mental health. I’ve never felt so depressed and despite being in constant communication with management and pulling my weight, it often goes unnoticed.

Middle management (PIC's) tend to play favorites with staff which can be annoying. They also tend to micro-manage instead of trusting that grown adults can do their jobs. There's also a lot of workplace dating and flings. The guests can pretentious jerks sometimes since a large demographic of Nugget's guests are yuppie's and retired folks with money.
