      Great atmosphere, but few career advancement opportunities

      Pros

      Excellent work/life balance. Culture encourages productivity and getting your work done, not putting in long hours. Some departments have lots of flexibility.

      Cons

      Little cross department communication encouraged. Sales department has high turnover. HR department is there for the company, not the employees.

      Pros

      Great people and good work life balance. Overall it is a good company to work for, but has been struggling in the most recent months.

      Cons

      Difficult to move up and more incentive to reward harder working employees. Need more communication between various departments. Middle level management doesn't seem to add much value to organization.

      Nuveen has excellent work/life balance, warm culture, values, pretty solid leadership and fantastic benefits.

      Cons

      The technology could probably use a facelift, and a little better inter-departmental communication.
