Pros

Paid on time; Support staff was very kind; Adequate Training Provided; You get to put "Paralegal" on your resume even though you're not really doing paralegal work.

Cons

Not Legal assistant/Paralegal Work Essentially a call center job, but without the sales experience. How I understand this place functions is they know hundreds of desperate college students are around looking for entry level paralegal/legal assistance jobs. It is practically impossible to get a paralegal job with no experience (as anyone who has tried is aware of). So they title this job "paralegal" to get all the desperate new Grads, but in reality most of the "paralegals" are just calling people and recording their personal information so that way we can submit their SSB/SSDI application for them. The pace we're expected to maintain is insane, and you are often going to be on the phone with old people who ramble or need to vent (understandably so considering the position they're in) but you have to get through 5 applications a day so you essentially have to tell them to stop talking and stick to the script. Telling a suffering old lady "I understand you have struggles but I have to keep going with the Application" kills a part of your soul, but there is literally no time to have empathy for them. Overall a soul crushing experience but when considering the lack of options for new grads, if you stick around and get your experience/Recommendations it could be worth it. Don't expect to learn how to actually be a paralegal though. I luckily managed to network and got a position as an actual paralegal. Nothing I learned at N.T. (besides how to multitask and interrupt the elderly) has carried over to my current job. Also one of my coworkers who was there for over 2 years and had performed superbly asked for a raise and she was offered a 27 cent raise. They are constantly filming commercials and opening up new centers but they can only afford to give her a 30 cent raise lmao. If you apply here keep in mind that they will be using you, so don't be afraid to use them back as well.

Pros

Free food, Clean Environment, Own desk, Nice co-workers.

Cons

In my position, you are by people who were taking calls all day, so having my headphones in all day was kinda annoying and when I wanted to take breaks from that I had to stay focused and silent while hearing their entire call. In the beginning, I really liked the management, but it just seems like they're not really there for you and for some of them, they'll just ignore you, unless you go out of your way to say hello. Also the pay and benefits aren't really good and the promotion they were offering wasn't enticing.
