      Pros

      You will always have a job unless you're beyond completely incompetent. Benefits are available, just quite costly.

      Cons

      Lot's of carrot dangling, follow thru with actual carrots is bleak. The completely incompetent still have jobs, which negatively effects morale. The annual "raise" has never covered the annual increase in the benefits costs in the 5 years I've been with the company. The company has doubled in size since I started, yet we are working with the same staffing, if not less.
