Pros

Nice co-workers/team members, no age, race, gender discrimination etc. Driving is fairly easy to learn and it helps to know the area you are hired in even though they are happy to help you with directions. No GPS, cell phone, or any other kind of electronic device distraction allowed. This includes food, beverages, and, thankfully, smoking.

Cons

Completely a Southern kind of company when it comes to unions and the Affordable Care Act. Dropped all benefits for part time employees like holiday pay and getting company Health Care. They either can't afford it, they are opposed to it or both. They are just above minimum wage for Driver hourly. Where I live the minimum wage is $X.XX/hr so O'Reilly's pay to me is $(X+1).00.

Pros

This is a good company to work for if you want to supplement your income with a part time job. If you're a do-it-yourself mechanic that wrenches on your own vehicles you'll find the discount on parts to be especially attractive. This is an easy career path for a young person with a high school diploma or even an associates degree and an outgoing personality.

Cons

Out of date technology, methods and practices creates too many opportunities for errors on the part of employees. Teamwork and culture must be cultivated rather than forced by policy.
