Pros

Company offers great benefits and seems to really care for their employees.

Cons

Like many companies this one too suffers from a culture of office politics and brown-nosing required to advance.

Pros

Talented and dedicated co-workers who are being mistreated. Many have left. The non-management staff congratulate people when they leave.

Cons

The executives micro-manage their employees to an extent I've never experienced anywhere else. When I resigned, they held my last paycheck for several weeks. I had to file a formal legal complaint to get paid.

Not a good place for IT professionals

Pros

Some of the staff are really great people, that's about it.

Cons

If you want to work with technical people when you're dealing with technical issues do not work here. The Non-technical leadership feel that IT staff do not need to be technical which causes the heavy work to be placed on the remaining technical people. This causes the staff that know what they are doing to work tremendous hours of overtime for a place that doesn't even pay fair market value. Also, be prepared to be directly lied to on a daily basis, whether it be about future projects, staffing levels, pay/raises, goals, or just about anything you could ask. You will not get an honest answer out of the leadership. Usually nobody in the chain of command of a team has any back history in the subject so they are unable to speak for, defend, or properly align a team beneath them. They are unaware of the type of work or workload an IT engineer conducts. Combine this with the hostile company culture which many vendors have labeled meetings as "a UFC match where everyone wants to beat up everyone" and the end result is an insane amount of stress. Because the leadership is extremely non-technical they cannot describe what their expectations are of you for any given project or task, but good lord you will know if you fail to meet the expectations that they weren't able to provide. The company is also trying to create a Fun culture which is failing miserably. The Fun events are far more un-fun that just doing your daily work. They are extremely forced and staff is "strongly encouraged" to participate, which basically just defers your workload to after hours. Although many of the fun events take place after hours as well. Speaking of after hours work, get used to that. I don't mean on a reasonable once or twice a week level, I mean several times a week and weekends because the place is understaffed and wants way too much out of the employees that do a good job. Work-Life balance simply does not exist here. Long story short, do not work here if you are in IT. There are better places with better pay and hours and nicer, more knowledgeable leadership.
