Ivory tower management style (management does not involve employees when planning and plans are often difficult to implement and result in lower productivity and/or efficiencies). Limited advancement opportunities. Ownership too far removed from operations resulting in middle and lower management's sometimes questionable behavior. Low pay and capped annual raises (based less on merit and more across the board percentage). Thankless job. Management seldom offers praise even when employees work 60+ hour work weeks to meet near impossible deadlines and even set new records.
