A company that cares and is working towards changing for the better.
Pros
Mission is clear. Most employees I've met take serving the mission pretty seriously, and I don't doubt that almost everyone who works here could tell you what the mission statement is. The company is a little out-dated at times, but many employees have been here for years and years and are close to retirement, so that's not always a bad thing. They're treated very well and don't want to leave. Not many people here seem eager to leave, which is a good sign. Morale is overall very good, and patient care seems like their number one priority. Most people I've met are treated pretty well - both by the company and by their managers. So far I have been treated very well and I feel like my leadership listens to my concerns. There are some growing pains right now, but they do seem like they are trying to listen to suggestions and make things easier. Work can be stressful at times, but it's a good environment and I don't mind coming to work every day. Most people that work here seem like they really want to be here.
Cons
Can be a little disorganized at times, but they are working to streamline their processes and clearing things up. It's a big company, so communication sometimes gets a little mixed up. It can be slightly confusing because they have several different companies and they all have different locations and ways of doing things, but they are working towards the 'One OSF' thing pretty diligently. Once that is done I have no doubt that things will get better. The company seems focused on moving forward in all aspects of the way it does business so it can be a bit frustrating at times because many things are in process or up in the air. I'm confident they'll improve with some time. Most employees you deal with are mission driven and care about the work they do - there will always be one or two bad apples, but that is hard to avoid in a company this size. But 95% of the people I've met are the type of people you want to work with. Some of the people who have been here for 20, 25, 30 years are reluctant to change sometimes and can be set in their ways. Overall though, this is not a bad place to work at all.
