Terrible experience

Pros

There are no pros. This place is laughably awful.

Cons

Long hours, terrible pay. Bad leadership. Ran understaffed and management is expected to fill in the blanks at multiple venues.

Its Hospitality at High Speed.

Pros

Limited benefits. Union membership/protection in a right-to-work state. Regular schedule & hours for as long as you want your shift; changing shifts/stores requires lots of paperwork. Tip percentage averages 8-13% but volume can make up for it if you land at the right store & depending on tip pool ($150-400 daily). Coworkers are generally cool but there isn't much time to build comradery with the level of business every shift. Meeting people from all over the world & taking care of weary travelers, if you like people and genuinely enjoy hospitality.

Cons

Competitors in the same airport offer higher pay & better benefits. OTG employees are the lowest paid in the airport. Generally poorly trained mgmt who lack skills and time to coach and mentor. Coworker skills are a crapshoot as OTG hires a lot of very green workers often and attrition is high. Parking shuttle is a constant hassle; it can take up to an hour to get to your car depending on the time of day. No PTO for one year. Pops follow the flight schedule, but rushes can last for hours if there are delays or bad weather. Customers are generally anxious and incapable of using the self-directed cloud-based POS due to exhaustion and confusion. It takes about 6-9 months to understand the ebb and flow and adjust to the pacing & constant chaos.

Decent Op & Salary / Long days

Pros

Good salary / benefits decent / lots of opportunity for promotion (but that's due to hire turnover)

Cons

Super long work days, especially with having to arrive early to pass through employee parking AND TSA/ lots of turnover
