Pros

- A very interesting domain with as many challenges as you have the time for. - Managers at all levels care about their colleagues. I was always able to be frank about my day-to-day frustrations, and I received a great deal of support in my career development from them. - A good number of the product owners transitioned careers from Ocado's warehouse operations, and as such they really know the stuff they're building. - Generally a great culture. Colleagues are friendly, intelligent, and know their domain. - A great place to start a career. Graduates get a competitive salary, and joiners are well supported by their teams as they get to grips with the domain. (The on-boarding experience may vary depending on the team you land in.) - Rather laid-back. Deadlines almost don't mean anything until you get the odd one that really does. This can be a good or a bad thing depending on your perspective.

Cons

- Pivot, pivot, pivot. The road-map is ever-changing and and the constant flux of priorities can make it exceptionally difficult to lead (and get time for) your own initiatives. - At the time I left, some rather unpopular decisions had been recently made by the senior leadership team which had started to negatively affect morale. - There aren't enough parking spots at the head-office in Hatfield for the size of the building. - Whilst pay starts off good for graduates, it doesn't keep up with the neighbouring London market as you progress.
