Plant sites vary in quality of management, some good, some not so good.

Pros

The average age in the plants is pretty high leaving the potential for career advancement and high levels of responsibility earlier on.

Cons

Work life balance is not good and the expectation to work days off is too high. Managers frequently change positions avoiding making tough decisions and poor managers are not released. The attrition of young engineers is exceedingly high and management seems unconcerned (from plant level to corporate level).
