My first day walking into OSJL Corporate I saw communication in the lobby about the Rhode Island Food Bank and I knew that the mission, vision, and values were something that I would look forward to everyday. Ocean State Job Lot truly focuses on creating a culture that is welcoming for customers and associates. I am extremely honored to be affiliated with OSJL, as they are extremely philanthropic. Recently, I traveled to Haiti and Ocean State Job Lot supported me throughout my entire journey.

Pros

While I was there the staff was friendly . The Management is very open to conversation. I was working there while I was in college and I was rehired each time during Summer and Winter breaks. If you put in the work and dedication, it will not go unnoticed. Be a friendly person and you will go far.

Cons

Not the best pay. I feel like a supervisor should be compensated more than they are. There are a lot more responsibilities than a cashier but the pay is typically only a few pennies more. It is hard to move up to corporate or management levels .
