Pros

recently came to the country

Cons

Bad wage, I was working in sections and register at the same time, supervisor calling me to the register every 10 minutes, bad points system, no benefits except 15% store discount. Low prices attract very pure uneducated people, like pensioners, unemployed people, SNAP card holders. If you can't speak Redneck or Yankee English - sometimes I can't understand them. Deliveries are without system, lot's of stuff that store doesn't need or have a lot. Employees don't have medical insurance first year, just before starting 1st year you wouldn't need insurance, you will have 40 points and will go home. Company economies money and don't pay overnight, overnight team starting 5:00 a.m. Just two 10 minutes breaks and one 30 minutes break if you're working full time.

Pros

Some perks are the people, the bonuses, the medical, the discount and the job stability.

Cons

pay rate is low, employee recognition isn't as good as it could be. It's a huge place (the warehouse) and should have employee recognition by department, I think. We have temps and some have been with us for many years (on and off) and are excellent workers and should have been hired long ago. I don't know how they chose people they hire, but the ones who get hired are usually useless. But they MIGHT have been good temps...see "advice to management" this could explain the lethargy in workers.

Pros

Honestly everyone in the store was great to work with. Fun merchandise. Free health insurance for full timers.

Cons

From the moment you are hired they are looking for ways to get rid of you. Impossible to get time off. You could put a request in a month in advanced and would get anger from all upper management. Get told after request ok'ed that no you can not have it and the slips you write it on goes missing because you are not allowed to take them for yourself. Everything would change day to day. Depending on if the DM or the RM came if word was that one would come it would be walking on egg shells. No one would take responsibility for them selfs. Blame would be put to the person under them. Not enough staffing at all. Cutting hours then wondering why customers walk out. Had gone to management for almost 2 years over an associate who would cuss at shoppers hide in the bathroom for at least an hour a shift and yet nothing would be done. Any questions to management would result in them telling you I don't know call customer service all over returning a 5 dollar item. No chance for a promotion no matter what they tell you.. You will get the run around even from the DM's. Not worth your time as a full time job at all. Part time job it's not that bad.
