      Family owned company who will do anything to save a dollar

      Easy job duties due to the out of date processes, technology, and general lack of leadership skills

      Cons

      Out of touch management at all levels. Many manager and executive level employees have been with the company for 10+ years and whole heartily lack awareness outside of their bubble. HR continuously hosts companywide meetings to hype up their expensive and outdated benefits. I was truly baffled every time someone from HR was VERY enthusiastically describing the PTO policy, which is the bare min allowed by federal law... Family owned, privately held company with an annual revenue of $700M that pays college educated corporate workers $18/hour. I wonder who pockets a majority of that revenue?

      Pros

      None really, depending on the location you might have some great managers.

      Cons

      The company refuses to invest any of its profit into its workforce or even into modernizing their stores. Anything they post in response to this review will be either an outright lie or gross distortion of the facts. Oh, and no holiday pay or Sunday pay unless it’s required by the state you work in.

      Corporate Issues

      30 % discount otherwise nothing else at this time.

      Cons

      The corporation making last minute decisions to change store hours without proper notification to the employees of their hours or shift change. If you tell management that you are unable to work the shift change because of their last minute decision and need to leave at the original time scheduled, you are told to change your plans and you have no choice to work the change. Scheduling employees when they have put in for a day off on the day that was requested off. Constantly being harassed by management about getting insiders and donations. Customers are not happy with being asked for donations. This all leads to a very hostile work environment. Merchandise is low in any many areas of the store. Too many customers are leaving without making any type of purchase. They should focus on the stores instead of real estate.
