Pros

Since being hired, I have had nothing but a positive experience. Everyone I have worked with has been kind and helpful. They all are happy and promote a very positive work environment. Great opportunities to volunteer. They provide exceptional training with hands on learning. Overall I am excited to have a career at OceanFirst Bank.

Cons

You have to wait to earn PTO or sick time and that's tough with kids and being hired during cold/flu season.

Thank you for your positive comments about OceanFirst being a good place to work. There are a few points of clarification regarding the voluntary settlement with the DOJ that will be explained here. There have been no fines of monetary penalties imposed, the $14 million is a loan subsidy fund that will promote access to housing in the community. OceanFirst Bank has agreed to a voluntary settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice (“DOJ”) and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) to resolve claims that the Bank was not in compliance with certain fair lending regulations, dating back to the years 2018 through 2022. OceanFirst agreed to settle the claims to apply resources directly in our community rather than engaging in potentially costly litigation; and to demonstrate the Bank’s actions and commitment to serving the lending and banking needs of families, businesses, schools, and organizations across our market area. Thank you again for your time in providing your overall positive thoughts on OceanFirst Bank.
