      Expanding too far, too fast.

      Pros

      Benefit package, on-site fitness at Main Campus location. Great resource library.

      Cons

      No strong sense of leadership from management. Not a lot of time allotted for continuing education, research, publishing, etc. Ochsner kept expanding without increasing staffing resources.

      Pros

      Good stepping stone. Fortunate with great coworkers. Large health care system which allows opportunity to explore multiple departments.

      Cons

      Compensation and tuition reimbursement is very low for such a large company. Health insurance plan is dissatisfying. Company is more concerned about expanding rather than improving what they already have. Senior level management shows little concern for employee satisfaction.

      Great coworkers, everyone from other areas treat each other well.

      Cons

      The hospital management has poor communication with staff, they do not seem to really know what is going on.
