Pros

I used to work on the boring parts of the internet, and am now excited every day to come in and work on getting people great dates. It's a small company that iterates rapidly. The C-suite sits among everybody else and is very accessible. We're expanding very rapidly right now, so there's definitely opportunity to grow. On the perks side (aside from insurance/401k and such), we have great office food and outings. People in the office tend to arrive after 10am and leave at before 7. But nobody looks at you funny if you have to leave earlier, and some people keep earlier hours (9-5/5:30).

Cons

The cons are related to the tradeoffs of a company with ~50 people. Communication can be ad-hoc as opposed to process-based. This means you should talk to your colleagues to find out what's going on instead of expecting everything to end up in an email .

Pros

- Great work culture. Work hard/play hard mentality - Super smart people. Opportunities to grow and work on things you care about. - Amazing benefits (hello, lunch catered everyday) - Very rewarding work! - Clear vision and goals from upper management as well as greater Match Group as a whole

Cons

- Very slack heavy culture... not as much in person communication

Pros

- Everyone is incredibly smart, talented, funny, and dedicated to making a great product. - Interesting problems, and space. - People care about the people they work with and the people using the product. - Good pay, and perks (if you care about happy hours and fancy yogurt). - Everyone is open to experimentation. - For the most part, the company is aware of its flaws. Which is good.

Cons

The company has experienced a lot of big transitions over the years, and because of that: - OkCupid is still figuring out what it should be. I do think it will get there, but OkC lost their way with the arrival of swipe-focused competitors. - It's still working on developing a solid product process. This is frustrating at times, but also an opportunity. It's improved since I started. - A lot of people are aware of the diversity problem. It's inclusive, but it won't necessarily appear that way looking around.
