Pros

All the employees are passionate, love what they do, and extremely hard workers. People will stay as late as they have to and come as early as they have to. Management is very lenient as long as the job gets done, which allows for a very relaxed but productive working environment.

Cons

we only get lunch 3 days a week and the kitchen is a little small on some floors.

Pros

It’s a startup. You’ll have real responsibility for real work that has a material impact on the success of the company. You’ll get to work for an industry leader in a really important segment of the market; it doesn’t get much more important than security and identity management. You’ll get to work on cool technology with really smart people who care passionately about what they’re doing. You’ll get to make a difference, and you’ll have a chance to earn a really large return on the time and labor you’ll invest here.

Cons

It’s a startup. It might not win. Some of the previous review comments are just silly. You’re gonna work hard and you’re gonna work long hours. Resources are relatively limited; you’re not gonna get a gym membership, and you’re not gonna get a 401(k) match. Who goes to work for a startup to get a 401(k) match? People are really busy, but despite what some reviews here have said, the atmosphere is friendly and collegial. What Okta calls a sordid argument Bill Gates or Steve Ballmer would call a routine conversation. If you’re coming in at a junior level, you’ll get mentoring and support. If you’re coming in at a senior level you’ll be expected to drive yourself up the learning curve. That said, people are more than willing to help you, if you’re respectful and you don’t waste their time. The company is experiencing some growing pains, but no more than any reasonable person would expect.
