Pros

Great colleagues, excellent facilities, and a very good benefits package make ODU a very good place to work. There are also lots of great cultural activities going on all the time, and staff get free admission to most.

Cons

Although it's a great place to work, the two downsides are probably parking and the overall safety around the campus. Steer clear of the neighborhoods around campus.

Absolutely loved my time at grad school at ODU

very diverse both faculty and student body fast developing very interesting and current new research and outreach initiatives excellent physics department

Cons

still a commuter campus, no sense of community sometimes opposition from clicks formed among some faculty and higher management corporate politics is not good for higher education institutions
