Pros

Good employee discount, cool coworkers.

Cons

Management is miserable. They will skip your breaks and break state laws regarding lunches and overtime. They will schedule you until ten and tell you you're not allowed to leave until 11:30. They treat employees like potential criminals and go through your bags when you are leaving for lunch or at the end of your shift to make sure you're not stealing merchandise.

Pros

Old Navy is a fun environment to work in. There are many things that need to be done every single day, but we also remember the fact that we are there to be sure our customers have a good time when they are in our store. There are many worse jobs. Old Navy also pays management very well and it is easy to move up in the company if you are willing to relocate.

Cons

Nepotism rules at my Old Navy. The main reason for getting a promotion is kissing up to our store manager. Retention is high but only because she never lets anyone leave and will violate availability requirements to keep them because without these people her life would be much harder.

Pros

The employee discounts, we get lots of them and they are good compared to other department stores. We get 50% off at Banana Republic and Gap and 25% off Old Navy.

Cons

Very poor management, plus raises are only given annually and they are very little. They start you off at a rate a little higher then most other companies but then they do not give you very much of a raise. There are people who have been there for years and they make nothing at all. Plus they are the people who run the store, they are always on the floor or the cash register helping customers while the people who get paid a lot are in the office setting on their rear-ends.
