Pros

Usually get plenty of hours when it gets busy. Management is alright. Discount applies to all the stores in the brand (Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic).

Cons

Discount to Old Navy is only 25%. Management is never encouraging. Management says they'll tell you when to take breaks/lunches, buuut they never do. Shifts are generally pretty short (4 or 4.5 hours). Most other people that work at mine are people who obviously couldn't get jobs anywhere else. A million people are hired and never properly trained.

Pros

Fantastic Discounts (I love Gap and Banana), friendly staff. Very easy job-folding clothing, helping customers, cash occasionally (In canada we dont have ONC thank god, but we do ahve to get e-mail addresses), putting out new stock. Management so far seem extremely friendly and also seem to genuinely care about their staff. This obviously depends on who you are working with but the store I work at has amazing associates.

Cons

huge stores that take forever to clean, training is minimal(very "learn as you go"), many early morning shifts. However, having worked at Bath and Body works and being forced to hard sell products so that the managers meet their goals, this job is fantastic!! No stress which is fantastic.
