Pros

I really enjoyed my time at Old Navy. The most of the management was awesome. They were very caring and were always willing to help you when needed. My co-workers were great. Most of us were a close group and would always go out after work. The pay was average but I really liked who I worked with. The management always worked with are schedule. I was at school while I worked there and they would work around. Is is great to work for a company that will do that. Old navy was an excellent job that I worked at.

Cons

There were a couple of cons. The frist con was I had one manager I did not care for. There were times when we were supposed to get off at closing but we would have to stay until everything was nice and perfect. There were times we stayed 2 or 3 hours late just to get everything done. If only she would have had a life. Another con was when we got a new manager who would do the hiring she woud pay the new associates more than the people who were experienced. So the new people were making more money than the ones who had been there at least a year.

They offer a range of clothing to suit the various different needs of women: work wear, casual clothing, evening wear and nightwear. Old Navy has an online info and Internet shop where account-holders can purchase items for their wardrobe online by secure server. Shoppers can search items by type and create their own preferred ensembles by combining separate items.

Cons

Pros

The pay is decent for a retail store. The benefits are good if you are full-time. You get exercise from walking around constantly for 7-8 hours a day. My bosses are awesome. they have charity donation/time match, meaning if you donate to a charity or put time in at one, Gap, Inc. will match that donation with the same charity. You get time and a half for working the days before and after the major holidays. If you are full time you get holiday pay. At my store, they are very good at working with you if you need time off. That's about all I can think of right now.

Cons

They do not take into account your educational degree when considering pay (at least they didn't for me). It is extremely hard to get a full-time position unless you are management. Even the keyholders are part-time. There are too many changes made to the store, everything is pretty much moved around everyday. The typical downfalls of any retail job- rude customers, folding and refolding the same shirts millions of times a day, not enough hours sometimes etc. etc. There are some people at my store that I could live without working with. It's not the easiest company to advance in.
