Pros

Not as many as their once was... Average compensation and benefits package

Cons

As another reviewer noted, be willing to work overtime no matter what your compensation is. The expectation is, that you will work more than your share and not be compensated for it unless you are hourly. Either way it's no longer something management appreciates of their employees. It's just expected. Due to the moves over the last several years that the current CEO, CIO, etc. have made, there is no hope to the company culture being repaired under their leadership or lack thereof. The only culture to be expected is made up of thoughts that you are going to work a lot, not ask questions, not offer your opinion, go out of your way to make sure your boss knows that you think they are number one, act like you know more than you do, and what you do know you keep to yourself in order to make you self indispensable. With the amount of veterans laid off, fired, or forced to retire by the current executive level there is little guidance for anyone looking to get mentored in the industry. One of the most important things I would say to anyone looking to work for this division is that leadership skills from the executive level down are not something that is sought after. This division is still being ran like an 80's or 90's company from a leadership perspective. The idea is that if you don't like what or how we operate then you can leave and if you don't we will fire you. Instead of a mentality of let's listen to what the employee has to say to determine if any part of the conversation has something we can use to make the company or process better. Empathy and compassion is non-existent which are key traits to any modern leader.

Extremely poor management

Pros

3 years ago, there were many pros —company perks such as summer picnics, holiday events, EXPERIENCED management and executives that could actually offer insight and direction.

Cons

Since the new “management” has taken over, it has taken a complete downward spiral and fast. There is no one left at the company with any experience or knowledge of the industry. Upper management spends their time making PowerPoints and graphs, not knowing anything about anything. The employees in the ground making the product, trying to sell the product, who know more than management, are left to fend for themselves. Decisions are being made by management 10 states away, with no knowledge of the effects these decisions are having in the plants, product, and customers. This company is digging its grave.
