Pros

Omega is a powerful place, so it feels significant to contribute to it. There are so many opportunities to pursue personal growth, including staff class offerings and campus events. It's a hub for spiritual seekers, so there are always wonderful, interesting people who come through.

Cons

It can be hard to face the reality that it's not a perfect place. It has challenges and politics just like any other business. It has a traditional, hierarchical leadership style, which at times seems necessary and efficient, but often seems antiquated.

Pros

The workers are so wonderful and open minded, the compensation for working there such as classes and free workshops are great. Free vegetarian and vegan food and kayaking. Living the life of the carefree.

Cons

Only 50$ a week stipend and some of the trailers had a mold problem while I was working there.

i honestly don’t think there’s a single pro to working here

the kitchen in the dining hall is absolutely disgusting. there is mold on the walls, water leaking everywhere, drains full of old food and slime. There are flies and bugs everywhere. truly appalling. the staff is another thing. most of the seasonal workers are great, but the core staff are rude, sexist, racist, etc. i did not feel safe around them and felt like i was being prejudiced against (which i was). the food also, is bad. hardly ever any protein choices and very carb heavy. it’s drowned in seed oils and lacks flavor.
