Okay Company, Poor Departmental Management

Pros

The pay was decent, at best. They offered a Pay-for-performance bonus that was GREAT at one time, but hampered by poorly maintained systems that actively prevented analysts from making their bonuses.

Cons

Management is the Reconciliation department was worse than laughable. The supervisors were as ignorant as they come, and wildly unqualified for the positions they held. The supervisors reached MAGA-level ignorance towards the last few months I was there. Their health insurance used to be great, but they changed that as well in favor of plans that covered very little. I'm glad to be done with the terrible management in Reconciliation.

Pros

Leadership is always open and willing to hear feedback, everyone is very open to hearing new thoughts and ideas. Everyone is encouraged to think outside the box in whichever capacity fits their workflow. Collaboration between teams is always flowing, which is refreshing. Innovational changes are plenty and direct managers are very encouraging of the overall growth of their team, even if that means their team members may transition into a different area of the business. Company benefits are impressive and shows how much the organization values their employees. I also enjoy how much the company promotes the usage of AI and encourages team members to utilize it everyday within their role. The company not only prioritizes top tech to clients, but also within internal functions. The recruiter and HR contacts who I worked with were very thorough, knowledgeable and available to me as a job seeker.

Cons

Leaders have big exciting ideas to implement, but they don't always communicate the "how/when/why" clearly or in a down to earth way. They lean heavily on AI to draft internal communications when a simple one on one or open group forum conversation would be best. If you are someone who prefers to complain instead of brainstorm and present solutions, this may not be the environment for you.
