Pros

The people! Everyone at Omnicell is quick to help new employees get acclamated and feel like a part of the team. Within my group, the work - life balance was amazing. They focused not only on your time off with flexible work schedules and "recharge" days, but also work load and stress. I truly felt when my manager asked how I was doing, she meant it and listened.

Cons

The overall company has yet to fully buy in to the idea that building quality into products at their industry will ultimately drive higher customer satisfaction and revenue down the line.

Pros

The devices they are working on are challenging and fun to work on. Benefits are good such as healthcare and stock option but they under pay significantly I have found out in my job search now.

Cons

I worked at Omnicell for about three years, in that time I had 3 different managers and other members of the team leaving constantly. During my last months one of the other engineers from a nearby region transferred to a different department in the company, and there was no backfill plan. So my region went from having 3 customers within 2 hrs of me which is manageable. To having 6 some of which are 7.5 hrs from me. I lived in my car for several months as they struggled to get a new engineer. I had more tickets in that stretch of two months than I did all that previous year. And I couldn’t keep up, there was times I would work on weekends and be getting into hotels at midnight after driving so much. I had been home less than 15 days in that stretch and I was let go for falling behind in the paperwork when I was doing the work of two engineers and traveling far too much. The worst of it was I found out there was an engineer 2 hrs from some of the extra sites I was driving to and he wasn’t asked to help cause he was in a different region.
